Week 10 Streaming Options
Week 10 Streaming Options
I slightly redeemed myself with last week's streams. Although, I Missed on my last QB call and top 2 defenses but hit on most others. Tight Ends you say? Let's not talk about Tight Ends. As usual I'll start with QB
(Rostered in 50% or less of Yahoo leagues)
Quarterbacks
Drew Lock @ Las Vegas (22% Owned) If you streamed Lock last week you don't even need to make a roster move. Lock leads the league in deep ball rate. What does that mean? It means he throws the ball deep more often than any other QB in the league. He's got a low completion percentage so he hasn't cashed in on most of them, but the thing about long shots is they are bound to hit at some point. If you believe in positive regression he is due for some big games.
Tua Tagovailoa v LA Chargers (44% Owned) We got to see how Tua did in more of a normal game script and it was promising to see. He played well against a good Arizona defense and no real RB. For fantasy seeing him use his legs to pick up yards is promising as well and gives him streaming value this week against the Chargers.
Baker Mayfield v Houston (33% Owned) Baker is off the Covid list and has a fantastic matchup against the Texans. The only thing that worries me here is if Cleveland dominates on the ground and limits Baker's passing game volume but I think Houston can put up enough points on the other end to keep Baker throwing in this one. He also gets his favorite Redzone target Hooper back and Chubb should return as well to get this offense in scoring position often.
Derek Carr v Denver (38% Owned) I'm never excited to stream Carr but he's playing well and the matchup is good. He's burned streamers the past 2 games so the most Derek Carr thing ever is to succeed now when people are off him and fed up. If the top 3 I listed aren't available Carr is a good enough replacement.
Tight Ends
Trey Burton @ Tennessee (19% Owned) Jack Doyle is out and Mo Alie-Cox is banged up and could miss this Thursday nighter. Burton has a great matchup and should see the targets even with TY Hilton back in the lineup. Don't let his down game last week scare you away. He should see the targets in this one and is always a threat to run it in at the Goalline.
Jordan Reed @ New Orleans (17% Owned) His first game back off IR wasn't good at all. He was very limited, but now with some time to recover he should see the targets in a nice matchup against the Saints. It's not guaranteed he steps into a full time role but nothing is guaranteed at TE behind the top options.
Irv Smith Jr @ Chicago (10% Owned) Just when we thought Irv Smith was no longer a thing he goes out and scores 2TDs. I don't see him scoring 2 but he looks like Cousin's top Redzone target now. If the Bears can stop the run at all and force Cousins to throw he should return some value but that's my main concern with the Vikings. If Dalvin Cook takes over there will be very few pass attempts for the pass catchers to cash in on.
Defense
Washington @ Detroit (35% Owned) It's clear now that Stafford without Kenny G is not pretty. Even after The Football Team had a bad game against the Giants I still like them in this spot. Stafford can get into trouble when he's pressured and that's what Washington does best.
Minnesota @ Chicago (41% Owned) Minnesota is not good. This is an indictment on the Chicago offense. They can't run the ball and Foles isn't getting it done. The passing game volume should be huge and Minnesota's secondary is just plain bad but I still don't think Foles can take advantage. This is something of a boom or bust play but there's not many options for streaming defenses this week.
Detroit v Washington (7% Owned) Again I'm advocating for starting a bad defense against a worse offense. Alex Smith will take sacks and check down all game. If the running game isn't there for Football Team it could be a long day for Smith.
That's it for the streams this week. Hope you enjoyed reading. Follow me @Chris_Cianci on Twitter.
