Desperation plays and DFS dart throws π―
It's the first Sunday of the season and the team you drafted is all healthy and ready to go. So sit back a..... No? You've been ravaged by injuries already?!?!? You had Golladay, Sutton, AND Miles Sanders!?!? That's horrible luck. There's nobody on waivers?
Ok, don't worry. I got you. I've been studying these games and doing projections and found some really deep dives available in just about every league. They are also the kinda guys you can plug in on daily fantasy sites for dirt cheap. Now these are strictly desperation plays in season long so you're probably not considering starting them unless you're in the deepest of leagues.
(Players rostered in 5% or less of Yahoo leagues)
Mitch Trubisky @ Detroit I touched on Trubisky in my last blog and how he's had his best games against Detroit and thier defense is arguably worse than last season.
Jalen Richard @ Carolina In PPR leagues Richard has some value. There's not much competition for passing down work in LV. He should see the majority and Carr loves to check down.
Brian Hill v Seattle There's word the Falcons want to limit Gurley's touches and Quinn has said Hill earned playing time with his practices. I think 8-12 touches is likely for him in one of the most productive offenses in football
Corey Clement @ Washington Everyone rushed out to add Boston Scott when Sanders was ruled out but I think it will be closer to an even split. Clement is a bigger more powerful back and the better bet for a TD
Rex Burkhead v Miami We've seen this song and dance before right? Everyone drafts and adds Sony Michel and Damien Harris then Rex Burkhead goes out and gets 15-20 touches. Not saying it will happen but it definitely could.
Quintez Cephus v Chicago With Golladay looking like he might miss the first game of the year and not much of a backfield. Stafford should target his pass catchers heavily.
Miles Boykin v Cleveland Boykin isn't the playmaker Hollywood is but he's a talented possession type who had some chemistry with Jackson last year. I think he has a good chance for a TD week 1.
Scotty Miller @ New Orleans There were training camp reports in August that Tompa was favoring Miller and for obvious reasons he fits the type he's used to succeeding with. And now with Evans banged up I think he gets peppered with underneath targets all game.
Russell Gage v Seattle Projected as the slot WR for Atlanta I'm just looking for pieces of this offense I can get for cheap and Gage could see some volume as the overlooked man in this offense.
Tre'Quan Smith v Tampa Bay Brees was quoted saying Tre'Quan is going to have a breakout year. Last year he was hyped to breakout and it never happened maybe we were all just a year early as a fantasy community. He's always a decent bet for a long TD as well.
Olabisi Johnson v Green Bay If this game turns into any kind of a shootout Bisi should see his fair share of targets. They can't all go to Thielin.
Damiere Byrd v Miami Figuring that he the #3 WR in New England. He and Cam already had some chemistry going back to Carolina.
Dawson Knox v NY Jets I'll be predicting a Dawson Knox breakout until I can't anymore. I love his athleticism he should be Allen's preferred red zone target.
Dan Arnold @ San Francisco Arnold flashed last year especially in the redzone. With Hopkins getting all the attention Arnold will see single coverage regularly.
Will Dissly @ Atlanta Given a full go after his achilles injury last year if he can return to last year's form his upside in this game is huge.
