Week 2 desperation plays and DFS dart throws

This week has been crazy dealing with injuries at the WR position. Then there's Jarwin and Kittle owners. I'm in all these categories in deep leagues and have been scouring the scrap heap for a startable plug and play. I've found a few that work and they are cheap options on DFS sites to fill rosters.
These are strictly desperation plays in season long so you're probably not considering starting them unless you're in the deepest of leagues. This week I'm separating the desperation plays from the DFS plays due to them not being directly related. I'll start with desperation in season long. With the IR spots in leagues this year the FA pool is extremely thin and injuries are piling up especially at the WR position.

Desperation Plays
(Players rostered in 5% or less of Yahoo leagues)

Danny Amendola 3% Golladay is out again and the targets are there for the taking. Detroit should fall behind on this one and be throwing a ton in the second half.

Quintez Cepheus 2% Same game, same idea, different player. He's the better shot at the TD while Amendola has the safer floor for volume.

Keelan Cole 2% Cole led the Jaguars in targets week 1 and scored. He probably won't continue to out pace Chark for targets but what if he does....

Adam Humphries 2% With AJ Brown out he could see a target increase and he had 7 week 1. High floor WR4 value.

Demarcus Robinson 1% Sometimes you just want to gamble on Mahomes' #3 WR. He was 2 drops away from a 2TD game and being the hot waiver add.

Royce Freeman 2% Lindsay was ruled out and Royce was used at the Goalline week 1. It's a horrific matchup but there's NOTHING available at RB this week. (Which is exactly why you should have drafted RBs early and often.) He has a non zero chance to fall into the endzone and might see work in the passing game.

Rex Burkhead 1% New England could fall behind in this one and I know James White is the preferred passing back but Burkhead can do that too. Sony probably would vanish in that scenario.

Jordan Reed 5% With Kittle out Reed takes his spot in the lineup. If he's anywhere near as good as he was in Washington at this stage in his career watch out.

Jordan Akins 2% If the Ravens Defense have a weakness it's to the TE position and Akins has the athleticism to exploit that weakness.

Dawson Knox 3% I told you he'd be here every week for me. He was this close πŸ‘Œ to a TD in week 1. Let's hope Josh Allen is more accurate this time.

Dalton Schultz 1% Addition by subtraction here. Jarwin is out for the year so the targets are there. Let's see if he can take advantage of it in a fantastic matchup.

Mo Alie-Cox 0% With Doyle out he should see an increase in workload. With his athleticism he has a decent ceiling but an equally low floor.

****ESPN ONLY****
Taysom Hill (TE) On ESPN Hill has TE designation. With MT he will probably be used heavily in the redzone. It's a really fun play too

DFS dart throws 🎯
These are guys that you can save on to allow you to pay up for stars at other positions. Some are exclusive to a single site and some are values at both. I'll provide prices for them as well

QB
Philip Rivers      DK 5900 / FD 7100
Daniel Jones     DK 5800 / FD 6900
Mitch Trubisky  DK 5500 / FD 7200
Ryan Tannehill                     FD 7000
In cash I'll usually take the safer QB plays but in GPP you can stack any of the 1st 3 with their pass catchers and have a low % stack. I personally like DJ and Slayton this week. Mitch and Miller is a great one too. As is Rivers and Campbell. Tannehill is more of a floor cash game play on FD.

RB
Benny Snell           DK 4500 / FD 4600
Antonio Gibson     DK 4300 / FD 5100
Jerrick Mckinnon DK 4200 / FD 4900
James Robinson   DK 4400 / FD 5300
D'Andre Swift         DK 4900 / FD 5200
Zack Moss             DK 4800 / FD 5200
Malcolm Brown                       FD 5200
Joshua Kelly          DK 4700
I set the cutoff on DK at 5000 and 5500 on FD. Gibson, Snell, and McKinnon are low percentage GPP especially Snell who could return RB1 production if he gets the start over Conner. Robinson is a screaming value in cash. Kelly is interesting now that Jackson is ruled out. If they can keep the game competitive they might try to take the air out of the ball. Malcolm Brown is a great high floor value on FD.

WR
Parris Campbell        DK 4500 / FD 5300
Dionte Johnson         DK 4500
CeeDee Lamb            DK 4700 / FD 5200
Darius Slayton           DK 5000 / FD 5300
Adam Humphries      DK 3400 / FD 4700
Demarcus Robinson DK 3500 / FD 4700
Quintez Cepheus      DK 3800 / FD 4600
Scotty Miller              DK 4100 / FD 5200
Jalen Reagor             DK 4100 / FD 5100
Keelan Cole               DK 4300 / FD 4800
Laviska Shenault      DK 4200 / FD 4900
This list may look totally out of order but this is how I prefer these guys. Slayton is a fantastic value on FD and Campbell Dionte and Lamb are values in both and some of my favorite plays this week. All great for cash or a stack in GPP. The guys at the bottom are some low percentage GPP fillers. Scotty is becoming too chalky for GPP at this point.

TE
Jordan Reed     DK 2600 / FD 4800
Logan Thomas DK 3600 / FD 4700
Mo Alie-Cox     DK 3000 / FD 4000
Jordan Akins    DK 3300 / FD 4600
OJ Howard        DK 3900 / FD 4800
Jonnu Smith                       FD 4900
Jordan Reed is pennies in DK and really let's you pay up for other guys. I'm willing to go slightly higher in FD for Jonnu his upside is crazy in this game. Alie-Cox is a sneaky GPP play in FD. Logan Thomas is in a ton of my cash lineups idk if that's good or bad. 😳

Defense
Cheepo Defense of the week is πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯
πŸ“―*Miami Dolphins* πŸ“―.       DK 2100 / FD 3600
Josh Allen is always good for a turnover or 2 and they might find their way into the endzone

I hope you enjoyed reading this one. It was by far more in-depth on DFS which I wasn't sure if write about at all but it's part of my weekly prep so why not give you a peak in on some guys I like there.
