Week 10 Waiver Adds

                      Week 10 Waiver Adds

Again we are faced with a group of running backs who are largely situation dependent. If David Johnson is in the concussion protocol and at risk to miss this week Duke Johnson would be my #1 add. The problem is we don't know David's status and likely won't before waivers run so I'm pumping the breaks on him. He's worth the gamble as a 1 week filler if you have the extra FAAB but it's a gamble. There's also some viable options at the WR and TE position this week. I wouldn't be saving much going into the playoffs so if you like a guy out there feel free to spend up this week. Now without further adue I'll get into my top waiver adds this week.

#1 Austin Hooper I'm going the contrarian route with a TE as my #1 option. Hooper was getting an absurd target share before he missed 2 weeks with the appendix surgery. Now he comes back to an offense that's vacated a ton of targets due to OBJ being out. Unless you roster one of the top TEs you should be making a bid on Hooper. I'm ok with going up to 25%. He is probably the last shot on the waiver wire you'd have at a TE that you can just plug in you lineup ROS and not have to worry about. That's a luxury this season.

#2 Curtis Samuel At first I thought his production a few weeks ago was a fluke but apparently not. He's getting a ton of targets and making the most of them. All this is coming at the expense of DJ Moore, unfortunately for Moore owners. Samuel is even getting red zone carries and is highly efficient in that role. They are getting him involved creatively and the target volume is promising. He's a high end WR3 moving forward. 15% of FAAB if you need a WR.

#3 JD McKissc The targets don't lie and he's getting a ton of them. There's also the dynamic of Gibson fumbling against the Giants this past week and Alex Smith (aka Checkdown Charlie) taking over as QB for The Football Team. If you're in a full PPR format he's a low end RB2 moving forward based solely on target volume. 15% of FAAB or go even higher if you're needy at RB.

#4 Jalen Reagor This Eagles offense is getting healthy all at once and looks really dangerous. Reagor should step into a full time role and has fantastic upside in this high volume passing attack. 12-15% of FAAB if he's out there.

#5 Jakobi Meyers He's seen at least 10 targets in every game since taking over the slot position and produced with his opportunity. Why is he down here at 5? The Patriots just traded for Isiah Ford. His natural position is the slot. Now I'm not saying Ford will definitely push Jakobi outside but there's a chance and if that happens I'd rather own Ford. 10% for Meyers and a prayer he stays in the slot.

#6 Duke Johnson There's uncertainty wether or not he will be viable this week. If David Johnson is out he's a plug and play RB2 if David is in he's unusable. So he's down here at 6 for that reason. It's a gamble but I'm willing to throw 8% of FAAB on that gamble if I'm needy.

#7 Michael Pittman Jr. I'm not exactly in a rush to add pieces of this Colts passing game but Pittman produced last week in a bad matchup so he's worth a bid to see if he takes over as the lead WR in this offense. 8% is a solid bid.

#8 Matt Breida Hopefully over his hamstring injury Breida can step into a 10-15 touch role with passing game upside. Problem is we have yet to see what his role will be now and Gaskin will eventually be back. He's worth a 5% shot if you like his upside.

#9 Kalen Ballage The most 2020 thing yet is talking about Kalen Ballage in fantasy football. He actually looked good and could end up being on a long list of players that get away from Gase and go on to produce elsewhere. I'm not using much FAAB on him. If Jackson or Pope are active I think they will take over the lead in the backfield. Buuuuuuut... If somehow they are both out this week you should be able to fire up Ballage as a borderline RB1. I can't believe I just typed those words. 5% for Ballage

That's it for this week's adds. It's a pretty long list this week and rightfully so. Thanks for reading and follow me on Twitter @Chris_Cianci
