Thursday night preview

It's Thursday and you know what that means. You might have some lineup decisions to make with limited information on your roster as a whole. Yay...? If you continue to subject yourself to my content you'll notice my disdain for Thursday Night Football but hey it's football on a weekday so that's good.
As I did last week I'll run down the fantasy relevant players in tonight's game and note where I'm comfortable starting them. Something to note. Before I checked the spread I thought this would be a close matchup. The Browns looked terrible week 1. Granted it was against the Ravens but they didn't even put up a fight. On the other side the Bengals almost pulled out a win or at least took the game to overtime against what was supposed to be (on paper) a much better Chargers team. In Burrow's first start he was marching down the field for a game winning drive. He actually hit AJ Green in the endzone for what looked like a TD but it was negated due to a penalty. Then when they tried to settle for a chip shot FG to tie Bullock shanked it. With this week 1 info taken into account I was surprised to see the Browns as 6 point favorites. It makes me think Vegas knows something we don't. So I'm approaching this game with caution. I'm still starting some Bengals but I've trended twards negative game script for Cinci and positive for Cleveland.

QB1 Joe Burrow He showed his rushing ability in the first game and I think that continues. He also gets some better CB matchups for his pass catchers. I think Burrow will get better every week as a passer in the NFL.

RB2 Nick Chubb, Joe Mixon The O/U for this game is just 43. That probably will limit scoring opportunities for the two lead backs in their respective offenses. However, I think Chubb and Mixon get the rushing volume to deliver mid to high end RB2 value.

WR2 OBJ, Jarvis Landry I'm not high enough on Odell to confidently deliver WR1 numbers l. He's become something of a boom or bust player since joining the Browns. He and Baker clearly aren't on the same page but he's always a threat to take one to the house. Jarvis is the opposite side of the spectrum. High floor and low ceiling. Count on him for mid range WR2 production.

WR3 AJ Green, Tyler Boyd Green gives you the best chance at a TD on this offense and Boyd should bounce back after having to deal with Chris Harris Jr last week. The ceiling on both players is likely capped but they are solid WR3s with WR2 upside.

Flex Kareem Hunt This is a frustrating situation for me. I believe he's a viable flex but with such little knowledge of the status with the rest of your roster playing over the weekend you can't make the most educated start/sit decision on Hunt. If you do decide to start him as your flex just make sure he's in an RB spot. NOT your flex spot. He's a flex in terms of value ONLY!

I don't like either TE or defense in this game. Hooper might have low end TE1 value with Njoku on IR but the upside isn't there for me to throw him in my lineup.

Thanks for reading. Let me know you think and follow me on Twitter @Chris_Cianci I love answering your start/sit and whatever other questions you may have on there. Enjoy the game tonight!
