Week 4 waiver adds

                                                Week 4 Waiver Adds
This week's list of adds is going to be fairly short so I'm not listing them by position but rather by importance. If you are 3-0 and solid as a whole I'd probably suggest bypassing this week all together. However, my #1 add this week is worth a pickup if you have room on your roster and are in need of a WR.

#1 Justin Jefferson I always say "Chase usage, not points" in this case you're chasing both. I was a fan of Jefferson at LSU but opening the season he was blocked by Bisi Johnson on the depth chart. Now it appears things are changing. Minnesota was stagnant on offense the first two weeks and I believe Kubiak needed a spark to get this group going. That spark looks to be more playing time for Jefferson. Also, they ran a faster paced attack this past weekend. The result was a far more effective offense. Can this be the formula moving forward? I think so, and if I'm right Jefferson will be a major part of it. There's also a chance it was an outlier and gameplan absolutely played a factor. Minnesota will most likely have a run heavy attack more weeks than not but you can't deny what he did turning 9 targets into 7-175-1. I'm hunting him anywhere I have a spot for him and am willing to bid 15-20% of FAAB to get him.

#2 Carlos Hyde Let me preface this add is 100% based on your particular situation. He's a 1-2 week rental RB at best. So if you don't see yourself using him I'd leave him out there. Unless you want to snipe him from your RB needy opponent this week. 12% FAAB (if you like)

#3 Jeff Wilson Jr If you got him last week bravo. If not you either missed out or will need to offer up a bit more FAAB. If McKinnon is out and Mostert isn't ready he can pay big returns this week 10% FAAB and watch McKinnon's status closely.

#4 Alshon Jeffrey He probably won't return this week but there's a chance he's out on your waiver wire. If he's there and you are lacking WR depth take a 10% shot at him. The Eagles are desperate for pass catchers.

#5 Tee Higgins The targets are there and the production is definitely there. My only worry is that this was more of a perfect storm resulting in Higgins' big day. Slay was on Green and Robey-Coleman was on Boyd so that would leave Higgins with the best matchup this past game. Something to note he was the preferred option in the redzone and was successful. Unlike AJ Green has been. 8% of your FAAB if you're buying in.

#6 Jordan Akins He's been in my streaming article before and I mentioned he might become an every week starter. If you're needy at TE he's got some nice matchups upcoming and nothing that really scares me away. If he can edge out Fells in snaps he can be a weekly TE1 with his athleticism. 5-10% of FAAB for his services.

#7 Brandon Ayiuk This is a tough one for me to guage value wise. On the one had I like Ayiuk's usage namely the rushing attempts. When a team tries to creativly get the ball in a WRs hands it screams that he's important to what they are trying to do. On the other hand Kittle is set to return and Deebo Samuel will eventually be back. This is also a run heavy offensive attack. If you're desperate for WRs or you are in a deeper league 3% FAAB is excusable.

#8 Brian Hill If you watched the Atlanta game I think you came away with the same take as I did. Gurley does NOT look good. Yes he's been getting the carries but he's not seeing targets and how long are they going to continue to give him the ball in meaningful situations? I doubt Hill will take complete control of this backfield but he can carve out a nice role that could include passing work. 1-2% of FAAB for this bench stash.

I'm not wasting FAAB on any of the Patriots RBs. Maybe you can play Burkhead if White is still away from the team but don't be fooled by the huge stat line. I also wouldn't waste any on a QB unless you're in superflex or 2QB leagues. There's usually an abundance of streaming options that I'll get to tomorrow.
