Week 5 Waiver Adds
Week 5 Waiver Adds
It's probably not the best week to go crazy on waivers. This is assuming Chase Edmonds and Joshua Kelly are owned. They are over 50% owned but if they happen to be available they are must adds.
There are a few guys that I think you can add and stash or use as spot starts this week and I'll list them in order of importance.
#1 Robert Tonyan #BabyKittle is happening and I honestly can't believe it. If you haven't heard Tonyan referred to as baby Kittle go search that hashtag on twitter. There's a particular anyalist that has been pounding the drum on Tonyan for a while now. If you're needy at TE he's a great add. I'd shell out 20-30% of my FAAB to lock him down. Again this is relative to your team needs. If you have a TE1 I wouldn't recommend spending that much and would drop my bid to half that.
#2 D'Ernest Johnson With Chubb going down for multiple weeks Hunt is the clear beneficiary but Johnson should see some work. If Hunt's Injury lingers his value would only rise I'm throwing out 12% of my FAAB for him.
#3 Justin Jackson With the desolate landscape of startable RBs and byes incoming I'm prioritizing the ball carriers this week. Jackson should offer some low end Flex consideration with Ekeler set to miss significant time. If you watched the game this past week you saw Josh Kelly fumble again. If the coaches lose trust they might turn to Jackson as the lead back. I'm bidding 10% of FAAB for him this week.
#4 Zach Pascal I recommended Pascal as a plug and play option this past week and I like him long term as well. TY Hilton isn't getting the quality targets. Rivers has looked awful but he will continue to pepper his slot WR and RBs out of the backfield. I'll drop 8% FAAB to aquire him.
#5 Damien Harris Sony was sent to IR and Harris was activated. He looked great and saw the bulk of the carries but the concerns for him are numerous. White will always take the passing down work. Rex will mix in. The team without Cam is abysmal on offense. Then, when Cam does get back he will vulture the Goalline carries. If you're extremely desperate for an RB you can bid for him but I think after his performance on Mon night he will get high bids. I won't be one of those high bids. 5-7% of FAAB if you like him.
#6 Tim Patrick Two things we can't deny about Patrick. He's getting the targets and he's producing. Even with shoddy QBs under center. If I'm in need of a WR I'll throw 6% FAAB at him.
#7 Ke'Shawn Vaughn This is a speculative add. If Fournette's Injury is worse than it appears and RoJo continues to drop easy passes and blow assignments we could see Vaughn take the lead in this backfield. These are all big IFs of course. 5% FAAB for this flyer.
That's it for this week. There are a few guys that should be rostered but if they are available you can shell out for them. Tee Higgins especially. He's getting the targets in a pass friendly offense and AJ Green is dissapearing. I'd go up to 15% for Higgins if available. Laviska Shenault is another one. He's not that high on my priority list however. I'd throw 5-10% at him.
