Week 7 Waiver Adds
Week 7 Waiver Adds
I wanted to wait until we got more clarity on the Injury to Mixon before I wrote this week's edition of waiver pickups. Unfortunately I don't think we will know for sure even before most waivers are processed so we are entering this week with the knowledge we currently have. Mixon should be ok to go this week. If Mixon gets ruled out or even doubtful before your waivers are processed Gio would be #2 or #3 on my list of priorities. It's still not a great matchup for the Bengals running game. This is also assuming Fulgham and Justin Jackson are owned in your league. If they are available they would be my #1&2 adds. Worth roughly 20-30% of my FAAB a piece. So, under the assumption they aren't options for you these are my top adds for this week.
#1 Boston Scott Miles Sanders is going to miss this week's game against the Giants and possibly the following week so if you are in need of a RB Scott should be your top add. He should split time with Clement and the Giants aren't a fantastic matchup but any RB getting touches is startable in this landscape for most. 20-25% FAAB budget if you're needy at the position.
#2 Keelan Cole This week is sort of a 1a 1b situation atop my waiver priority. Of course it's always predicated on your team's situation. If your need is at WR I think Cole is the guy in my opinion. He hasn't seen less than 5 targets in any one game and saw 9 this past weekend. He's the clear #2 in this offense and there's no reason to think he has hit his ceiling just yet. Also, if your league counts return yards he offers that to add on to his weekly score. 10-15% of FAAB seems reasonable. If you're desperate 20% is excusable.
#3 Anthony Firkser The Titans offense has a tendency to target TEs. That is evident. Even in limited time Firkser was able to corral 8 of 9 targets for 113 and a TD. It helps to have Derrick Henry as a part of your play action game as well. If you're needy at TE 10% of FAAB is a solid bid.
#4 Tim Patrick You can't deny what Patrick is doing. With downright bad QB play and tough matchups he's getting the targets and producing. Now he's got a few nice matchups upcoming. He might have been scooped last week but on the chance he's there take a shot at him. 8-10% of FAAB in shallower leagues.
#5 49ers RB ( Jeff Wilson, JaMycal Hasty, Tevin Coleman) So here's the deal. We're almost certain Mostert will miss time. We know McKinnon is the best bet to lead this backfield next week. However, there's a chance he doesn't. He didn't look good in between the tackles last week and was outplayed by Hasty. Tevin Coleman should be back from IR sometime soon (Maybe this week🤷🏻♂️) and we also don't know the extent of Wilson's calf Injury. He could end up playing. My strategy is to pick the 1 you like and throw out a 10 ish percent bid or try for all 3 dropping the same player so you'll only wind up with 1. If the RB you end up with isn't in line for touches just drop him. I'm throwing up between 5-10% for any one of these backs. Closer to 10% for Hasty and Coleman. Less for Wilson.
That's it for the adds this week. If you want to take a stab at Gio Bernard in a the hopes Mixon sits it could pay off. That's not the worst idea ever and there's a few players returning from IR that are interesting. Goedert if available needs to be added at all costs if you need a TE now that Ertz is hurting. Sterling Shepard might be worth a look but that Giants offense really dosen't interest me.
That does it for the adds this week. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed it. Follow me on Twitter @Chris_Cianci and feel free to shoot me some start sit or roster questions!!
