Thursday Night Football Preview

              Thursday Night Football Preview

Tonight's game is going to be loaded with 3rd, 4th stringers, and practice squad players. For managers looking for a RB spot start or TE streamer you're in luck. For fans wanting to watch star athletes in a competitive game maybe watch CNN for election results instead. There's also a few players who may be active or may not we need to keep an eye on. Aaron Jones "Q", Jordan Reed "IR", and the slew of practice squad players that may be called up and activated.
Since it's Thursday and I hate making fringe decisions this early . I'm one to wait but taking a shot on a guy like Dexter Williams or Ross Dwelley tonight might be the best option you have. As always I'll list players I'm comfortable starting in fantasy lineups

QB1 Aaron Rodgers I'm not excited about this start but I think he still lands inside the top 12. His upside is capped in this game with limited weapons and a run heavy opponent.

RB1 Aaron Jones If he suits up you need to play him. Him being active makes Ervin and Williams unplayable. He may also be limited but you can't sit him if he's active.

RB2 JaMycal Hasty Besides Jerrick "Tired Legs" McKinnon he's the only RB left for the 9ers. Now without pass catchers available. San Francisco could have 35+ rush attempts in this game if they can keep it close.

WR1 Davante Adams He's the only WR I'm willing to start with confidence and a weekly top 3 option regardless of matchup.

WR3 Trent Taylor This is more of a desperation play but he's got some sneaky PPR upside in this game. Taylor has been pepperd with targets in this offense in the past so it's not outside the realm of possibility

TE1 Robert Tonyan, Jordan Reed (if active) I like both starting TEs here due to the lack of viable pass catchers here.

FLEX Tyler Ervin, Dexter Williams, Jerrick Mckinnon There's a severe lack of skill players in this game and I think all 3 of these guys will end up being "flexible". Williams has the best shot at a TD if Aaron Jones is out. Mckinnon and Ervin should handle passing down work for their respective teams.

Defense Green Bay The Packers are favored by 7 and 49ers are decimated by Covid19 protocols and Injury. That gives GB a ton of upside in this game. If the offense can jump out to a lead and force Mullens to try to beat them it could be a huge game.

That's it for this week's preview. Watch the active/inactive report at around 7pm to get clarity on Aaron Jones and Jordan Reed. If Aaron Jones is active I'm not playing Williams or Ervin. If Reed is active he becomes a viable start. Thanks for reading and follow me on twitter @Chris_Cianci
