Week 10 Start/Sit

                          Week 10 Start/Sit
Apparently the answer to last week's running backs was sit all of them. I don't remember another week with such inconsistent RB production. I hit on most of my WRs but missed big time on Corey Davis. As for TEs I actually wrote Engram as a start then decided he was a sit and never edited out my start suggestion so he was on both sides 😂. Hey if you play both sides you always win right? I'm sorry for that confusing take last week but my QB suggestions were pretty accurate. I'm kinda impressed with myself identifying Lamar Jackson as a sit last week too. So enough about last week let's get into this week's start/sits I'll start with RB as usual.

Running Backs
Start✅
Duke Johnson David Johnson was ruled out for this one and strong winds might keep this game mostly on the ground. He's also got that whole revenge game narritave going for him. Start him with confidence.

JD McKissic & Antonio Gibson I like both RBs here against Detroit. Gibson as a high end RB2 and McKissic as a Flex with a boost to RB2 in full PPR. Detroit can't stop anyone on the ground and The Football Team will probably want to hide Alex Smith behind that running game and dump offs.

Kareem Hunt If you're thinking of benching Hunt now that Chubb is back, stop. He's actually been better as a complementary back and with the high winds predicted in this game he should get the short passing work as well. He's a high end Flex/RB2 in this matchup.

Zack Moss This is a deeper play but things are lining up for Moss. He's the redzone guy and preferred back in most situations and splits targets fairly evenly now as well. He received 82% of the opportunity share last week and Singletary looks to be merely a complimentary piece to Moss the lead back. Arizona is a sneaky good matchup as well.

Jerrick Mckinnon Tired Legs be damned. The game script in this one should lead us to see lots of passing game work for him out of the backfield. Also, I believe they expect Mostert and Coleman back very soon so Shanahan will let Mckinnon do his thing this week.

Chase Edmonds Don't let the possibility of Drake playing scare you off Edmonds. Even if Drake returns he shouldn't see his usual snap share. This game has the highest O/U of the week and Edmonds has a nice matchup against the Buffalo run D.

Sit❌
Devin Singletary You saw Moss as a start and I believe that production comes at the cost of Singletary. He's been fading into a "change of pace" role and I'm confused as to why he continues to be ranked above Moss on host sites.

Kenyan Drake Even if he plays I'm not starting him. Yes this game has the highest O/U of the week, but even if he gets the majority of carries Edmonds should at minimum get passing game work. Not to mention Kyler is basically the Goalline back for the Cardinals. All his presence would do is downgrade Edmonds.

Mark Ingram He's back from Injury and I like the Baltimore running game as a whole in this matchup but with the 3 back RB rotation likely I want no part of any them.

Wide Receivers
Start✅
Cooper Kupp He's a bit banged up so watch his status going into this game but the matchup is fantasic. Seattle is giving up a ridiculous amount of points to QBs and WRs. Josh Reynolds is even a play in deeper leagues.

All the Steelers WRs I'm starting my Steelers in this one. Ben Rotheisburger is going to gut it out with his knee(s) and the Bengals have 3 available corners with Injuries and covid situations. Juju and Dionte are WR2s Claypool is a boom or bust WR3 in this one.

Brandon Aiyuk We've seen what the #1 WR can do in this offense and without Deebo Samuel that falls on Aiyuk this week. In what should be a negative game script he should see a plethora of targets.

Christian Kirk I doubted Kirk last week mistakenly now I'm going to endorse him and he'll probably lay an egg. But honestly, he's been getting the targets and I want as many pieces of this game I can get.

John Brown Smokey Brown came back last week and he really does transform this offense. I'm expecting a crazy shootout in this one with both running and slinging QBs with big arms and weapons on the outside. This should be a fun one.

Tyler Lockett I thought this was a no brainier but I'm seeing him on managers benches and seeing him as a sit by some high profile anyalists. I understand he's had a string of down weeks but a WR with his skills getting targets by Russell Wilson is never a sit for me.

Sit🚨
DJ Moore For whatever reason Matt Rhule and Joe Brady don't seem to like Moore. He's all but dissapeared in this offense and he been pushed down for targets by Curtis Samuel. I'm benching him unless the coaches decide to start getting him involved.

Vikings WRs Chicago is a brutal matchup for a WR group that already sees limited action. You might have no choice but to start Thielen but if you have a guy I listed in my starts you could plug in this week I'd do it.

Darius Slayton Shepard has taken over as the #1 target in this passing game and Engram is seeing a steady target share as well. Last time he was matched up with Slay he didn't do much and I think that repeats this week.

Marquise Brown managers continue to start him hoping for that blow up game but at what point does it not become worth it? Him and Lamar Jackson are out of rhythm this year. I'm off Hollywood completely.

Tight Ends
Start✅
Dallas Goedert I'm not overly concerned of his lack of production in his first game back. He was limited and not at full strength yet. Instead I trust in Wentz's tendency to throw to his TE especially in the endzone.

Austin Hooper He might be limited slightly coming off his surgery a few weeks ago but his targets were ascending before he was Injured and now Beckham's targets have been vacated. Any TE getting 8+ targets a game is high end TE1 material.

Evan Engram This time I'm sticking with it. He's got a great matchup as well. The Eagles are the 4th easiest matchup for TEs and it's their most glaring weakness on Defense.

Sit❌
I have no sits at TE this week. Besides Waller they are all gambles. This is more the state of the position just being so muddled and TD dependent. One thing I'll say is I'm not trusting any that are Questionable going in and risking reinjury and a 0.

Quarterbacks
Start✅
Jared Goff The every week tradition of starting a QB against this Seahawks secondary continues. What they are giving up through the air is near historic. You can't sit Goff and his pass catchers. He has top 5 upside this week.

Ben Rotheisburger Yes I know he hasn't practiced all week. Yes I know he hurt both knees. It's scary to start him but the matchup is too good to pass up. Cincinnati has most of thier CBs out or on covid list so I believe Ben will be attacking them early and often.

Lamar Jackson He was a sit for me last week but he's a start for me this week. I think he gets going in the running game this week. He's had some brutal matchups and I think he was dealing with an injury but he looks like he's been moving like the old Lamar latley.

Carson Wentz He finally gets all his weapons back healthy in this one. The Giants D has been very good but I don't think the Giants offense can keep the ball enough to for the Defense to stay fresh. Wentz also has been running TDs in latley. He could absolutely go off this week.

Justin Herbert Miami has been good on defense but so has Herbert in tough matchups. As long as he has Keenan Allen and Mike Williams healthy he's a top 8 option every week. Don't hesitate to start him.

Sit❌
Cam Newton He's been giving managers a decent floor with his rushing ability but he shouldn't have much success this week against Baltimore.

Joe Burrow I know he's been successful against tough competition this year but I think the Steelers get the best of him this week. He should be under pressure all game and chasing points.

Matt Stafford He's been downright bad without Kenny G. I also expect Detroit to commit to the run in this one to keep him from getting into too much trouble.

Drew Brees Yes he got Michael Thomas back but San Francisco isn't this fantasic matchup by any stretch. I'm lower than most on Brees this week but I was never high on him to begin with.

That's it for this week's start sits. Hope you enjoyed reading. Follow me on Twitter @Chris_Cianci and enjoy the games tomorrow!!
